Washi tape has become a craft staple in my household, whenever I see it on clearance I grab a ton of rolls because both my girls love using it for crafts because it’s pretty and easy to tear. And the tape doesn’t leave sticky residue and it’s easily removable (which is good since Evie is constantly using it to hang signs all over the walls!)

All the super cute prints available make washi tape a natural choice for crafting and Washi Tape Crafts: 110 Ways to Decorate Just About Anything* by Amy Anderson includes a TON of fun projects and ideas for it. Plus, the book comes with 10 really cute rolls of tape.

The book starts out with a really great “Tools & Techniques” section where Amy outlines all the different things washi can and can’t be used for and shows different application techniques. I feel like this section is so valuable because it really gives you a ton of great information that applies to any washi tape project you want to do.

The book contains 110 projects and does a really great job of giving a lot of projects that vary in time commitment, materials needed, and use. The different categories of projects are – Goods and Gifts, Home Decor, Jewelry and Fashion, Holidays and Celebrations, and Just for Fun.

There are a lot of really simple projects that don’t take much time but really have a huge impact. This table runner is one of my favorites because of my hexagon obsession.

There are a lot of really fun, bigger projects but a lot of the smaller ones really appeal to me more. There are a lot of simple projects where just adding washi tape makes such a huge impact and personalizes it so much. I love all the stuff in the Holidays and Celebrations section, I am always torn between wanting to have holiday specific decorations and not wanting to take the time to make something so temporary. So I love a lot of these quick seasonal projects that can make a big impact without taking much time.

Washi Tape Crafts: 110 Ways to Decorate Just About Anything* is a really fun book with a lot of great project ideas. It has a great variety of projects for a lot of age and skill levels and really pushes the boundaries of washi tape.
