When Josh and I got married I folded 1,000 paper cranes and used them as decorations at our reception. Ever since then, origami cranes have had a special place in my heart.
I’ve been wanting to make a crane cross stitch pattern for a long time and finally sat down and did it! And it’s my gift to you. Why not stitch 1,000?
The finished crane is about 4×2 inches when done on 14ct.

I think trying to cross stitch 1,000 cranes would drive me insane! You’re a stronger woman than me to fold 1,000 of them!

Yeah, cross stitching 1,000 of them would never actually happen, but it’s a neat thought! The craziest part about me folding the 1,000 was that I started about a month before the wedding!

I remember you tweeting about the wedding cranes – so gorgeous and colourful! 🙂 x

Thanks so much! 🙂

1000! I wonder how many you’d make before you could do without the pattern.

Oh that’s a good question! I don’t know! When folding them I definitely went on autopilot after awhile!
