Free Pattern Friday – John Hodgman Quote

Free Pattern Friday - John Hodgman Quote from Hugs are Fun

If you aren’t familiar with John Hodgman, television personality and internet superstar, then you are missing out. I can’t even pinpoint how he came onto my radar, but I remember listening to the audiobook version of The Areas of My Expertise*
in our apartment in Milwaukee and crying from laughing so hard. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting him at the book signing for his second book, More Information Than You Require* and he was amazing. One of my favorite podcasts is Judge John Hodgman where he dispenses internet justice with the help of Bailiff Jesse Thorn.

One thing that has come up multiple times is cases involving collections of things and Judge Hodgman always tells them, “Remember the line between a hoarder and a collector is a display case.” It’s been on my list of patterns to make for so long and I’ve finally done it. I need to stitch this up and hang it in my craft area. Does a shelf of fabric count as a display case?

So yeah, stitch this up and proudly display it near your hoarding, or collection depending on if you have a case for it!

When stitched on 14ct Aida it will be 7×7″.

I love this! Judge John Hodgman is one of my favorite podcasts. He is very wise. I’m kinda tempted to try cross stitching for the first time every just to make this!
