I had every intention of getting my project done early this month and then there I was, doing it the night of June 30. So I did try something new and I’ll be sharing my project tomorrow. But until then, here are some projects by people who were more on top of things than me this month!
Stephanie from Swoodson Sews tried out metal stamping. What a neat way to recycle cans!
Mary from My Life on Craft shared this photo in the TSNEM Facebook group. She made these amazing plastic beads from an old water bottle! She colored them with Sharpie and melted it with a craft gun. I want to make these with my girls, it’s such a fun idea!
Anna from 64 Color Box opted out of the heavy craft theme in favor of paper piecing. I did foundation paper piecing for the first time for last year’s TSNEM and I love it. She did an amazing job for her first time!
Amy from Swimming in a Sea of Estrogen tried out piping. I always want to make clothes but always get frustrated with cutting out all those pieces. But then I see pictures like this and it makes me want to try all over again, the piping is such a great detail!
The theme for July is yarn and we’d love to have you join us. Even if you haven’t participated yet, it’s not too late to join! Read more about Try Something New Every Month and see a full list of themes here. And make sure to join the Facebook group for inspiration and to show off your projects!

Great projects this month. I love sewing clothes, but also hate cutting out all the pieces. To make it more fun, I cut out pieces one day and then sew the next day. I usually do a quick fun project after cutting out a pattern to clear my mind after cutting pattern pieces.
