I joined in on Little Miss Shabby’s stitch along. I’ve always thought that quilt squares would make great cross stitches, and she did a fantastic job making the patterns!
I am using the color palette from Satsuma Street’s Pretty Little City pattern. I bought the pattern months ago and haven’t started it, but I love the colors!
This stitch along is actually the first time I’ve ever done a cross stitch using someone else’s pattern, which is kind of crazy! I’ve been cross stitching for 5+ years and this is my first time! I’ve never done half stitches before and I keep finding myself crossing them and having to pull out stitches!
If you haven’t joined the stitch along, there’s still time! Each square is small and stitches up quickly. It’s going to be such a cute sampler when it’s done! Find out more here.

This is amazing! I love the colours you are using, what will you do with these when they’re finished? I’m going to pop over and have a look at the link…Chrissie x

I love this and have been contemplating it but I’m not a fan of the barn square she’ll be using. Any suggestions? Your blocks are beautiful!

I actually feel the same way Summer, the barn one feels more country than the rest. Everything else has a more modern feel and I don’t love that one. I was thinking of either repeating one of the other squares in a different color, or making up a new one.

The colors you picked are great!

I love this idea. I don’t see where I can get the pattern on her site. Can you help direct me?

Here are the different blocks, the patterns are in each post.
