I’m not going to be posting as much in August. I have some exciting projects I’m working on right now, but they are also things I have to keep secret. So for the next month I’m going to be toning back my posting, but I’ll be keeping you all updated as much as I can!
Today I want to show off the amazing embroideries I got from Sarah Hennessey from Sometimes I Swirl.
We swapped work, I sent her two of my cross stitches and she sent me two of her embroidered hoops. I had such a hard time choosing, I knew I wanted one of her mandalas, I love all the photos of them she posts and it’s even more amazing in person.
I decided on this abstract swirl piece for my second one. I love the colors and textures, it’s so fun.
I love seeing other needlework artist’s work in person and it’s even better to actually own pieces myself! I’ve amassed quite an amazing collection from various swaps I’ve done, now to just get my act together and make a gallery wall to display them all!
You can buy your own embroidery from Sarah’s Etsy shop and you can see her progress photos on Instagram.

Oh I love that swirly one! Especially how the colours really pop against the black background! Time to add something else to do to my long list!

Wow! These are both so gorgeous – I love the motion in the larger piece and the smaller one looks very 1970s to me (which I think is a good thing). I’ll definitely have to check out her Etsy & instagram!
