I've gotten multiple requests to sell the patterns I used for the Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan cross stitches I made. I don't feel comfortable making money off them like that, so here are the patterns for free. When cross stitched on 14ct Aida they fit in a 6" hoop. Free Pattern Friday – Geometric Arrows
I went through a big geometric cross stitch kit a few years back. Most of them I would do without a pattern and I loved how little I had to think about it, it was so repetitive. I have a box with dozens of them. The finished cross stitch is only about 3" x 5" but you could continue repeating to make it as big as you want. Whenever I do rainbow for my cross stitches I just grab any colors I have in that shade. Usually I'm lazy and pick whatever is already cut and split into three strands! Rainbow Wild Animal Cross Stitch Patterns – One Thimble Issue 11
(Please note: Affiliate links are indicated by an asterisk*) One Thimble Issue 11* is here and it's an amazing one! I am so excited to have my cross stitch patterns in this issue, I absolutely love how they turned out. The rainbow tiger actually has been waiting to be released as a pattern for years, I originally stitched it up for a Mr. X Stitch swap all the way back in 2014. When I first stitched it, every single stripe on the tiger was a different color and it took forever. I simplified it a bit and made wider stripes of each color. It's totally ... Read More
Cross Stitch Pattern – Earth Core
One of my 2016 goals was to release one paid pattern a month. That hasn't been going exactly as planned since it's already March, but better late than never! My solar system patterns are consistently my most popular - both the rectangle version and circle version. I wanted to make more science cross stitch patterns and so I stitched up this cross section of the earth's core. I love how it turned out and hopefully you do too! You can get your own version over in my Etsy shop! There are more free patterns to download here. If you stitch up one of my ... Read More
Free Pattern Friday – Bunny
This month's Free Pattern Friday really snuck up on me, but I realized I had a pattern I never shared that happens to be perfect for spring. I made this bunny hoop for a friend's daughter awhile back. The actual hoop is 6", but the bunny is only about 2.5" tall so it stitches up really quickly. (Please note: Affiliate links are indicated by an asterisk*) I used Water Soluble Cross Stitch Canvas* when I stitched this up. Water soluble canvas is by far one of my favorite cross stitch tools. A Reverse Appliqué Heart
So one of my 2016 goals was not to sign up for swaps. This goal lasted approximately one month and then I signed up for one that needed to be shipped within a week. The swap was to send a heart coaster and 25 Valentine colored hexies. One of my partner's favorite colors was teal so I declared that to also be a Valentine color. I've wanted to try out reverse appliqué for a long time but I've been nervous and have let that hold me back, but I immediately knew I wanted to try it for the heart. I used this paper pieced heart and reverse appliqué tutorial from ... Read More
