Evie decided she wanted a Pigeon party awhile back. I kept asking her to make sure she hadn't changed her mind before I started making anything. We even went into Party City the other day to get a few things and she didn't waver from her Pigeon party request. We are big fans of Pigeon, and I was excited to start making stuff. I went a little overboard! ... Read More
Evie is 3!
I can barely believe that three years ago I gave birth to a tiny, dark haired little baby, and today I have a funny, smart, energetic, blonde preschooler. Evie continues to amaze me every day, makes me laugh, and always keeps me on my toes. I was so nervous about how she would be with Mira, but she is the sweetest and most amazing big sister. I can't wait to see what adventures this year brings. Happy Birthday Evie Pantalones! ... Read More
Blanket Check-In – Week 3
This week I have been doing a lot of borders. I also realized I was going to need a lot more of the off white than I had and ended up going to three Hobby Lobby stores in the area. The first two seemed to have a completely new batch of yarn that felt completely different and didn't match at all. The third store actually had two skeins of the same dye lot, and a bunch of skeins of the next numbered dye lot. I think I'll only need the two, but I grabbed a third just in case. I was starting to panic about the non-matching yarn and the idea of having to redo all of those ... Read More

Resurrecting a Project – Evie’s Scarf
I started this scarf for Evie last winter but never finished it. I absolutely love the yarn, it's really soft. Usually when I buy a variegated yarn I'm disappointed by the outcome, but the gradient on this one is really pretty. However, that's also the reason this scarf never got finished. I'm coming to the end it the skein and I want it to be longer but don't know how the new skein will look. I'm worried there will be a really obvious and abrupt change that will ruin the scarf. I guess really the only way to find out is to try, but I'm nervous. ... Read More
