Today is National Donut Day, so to celebrate I've made a donut cross stitch pattern! But not just any donut, a CAT DONUT! In Japanese they are called "doubutsu doonatsu" which translates to "animal donuts." You can read about them on Kotaku. So here you go, grab yourself a donut and stitch this up to celebrate National Donut Day! Free Pattern Friday – Angry Unikitty
It's that time again, it's Free Pattern Friday! The March free Unikitty pattern was a big hit, so I decided to make another Unikitty. Even angry, I still find her adorable. Free Pattern Friday – Lego Movie Unikitty!
The credit for this pattern goes to my husband Josh. He told me he had an idea for a pattern that he was going to make, and it just so happened to coincide with Free Pattern Friday. If you're one of the many, many people who can't stop singing "Everything is Awesome!" you will definitely appreciate this adorable Unikitty cross stitch pattern! Free Pattern Friday – A Modern Valentine Heart!
I wanted to make a Valentine's Day pattern, but I wanted it to be modern and nontraditional. I worked on black Aida, but the pattern is for the version on white. I used DMC thread colors - 603, 208, and 333, but feel free to customize this any way you like. I think it would look great in any color scheme! The gradient of color around the edge is inspired by the E for Eclipse cross stitch, the both have the same way the colors dissolve on the edge. The heart is about 5 inches on 14ct. I made it intending on putting it in a 6 inch hoop. It fits but I think ... Read More

Free Pattern Friday – Buffy Edition
The first Friday of December really crept up on me! I was planning on designing something more festive and Christmasy, but instead you get a vaguely Christmasy, more nerdy pattern. I watch through a lot of shows on Netflix and Hulu+ while I'm cross stitching and I recently rewatched all of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. I really wanted to make a Buffy cross stitch and I made a huge list of possible ideas. I started stitching this one up but got distracted by all the Christmas presents I'm working on. This quote comes from season 5, episode 9, "Listening ... Read More
Free Pattern Friday – Tea Love
It's that time again, Free Pattern Friday! I made this pattern a few months ago and have been meaning to post it. I normally design my patterns in Photoshop, but this one I drew out on graph paper. I was in the mood to do a quick, cute, little cross stitch and this fit the bill. It's about 2.25" and fits nicely into a 4" hoop. I am a huge tea fan, lately it's been iced tea, but with the cooler weather I'll start brewing up some hot tea too. So grab a mug and start stitching!
