I don't know about all of you, but I love subscription boxes. Getting packages is already fun and I love adding the surprise element to the mix. Despite having an entire Pinterest board dedicated to paper crafts, I usually shy away from actually making things with paper. Papercrafts from Shannon Miller is an amazing collection of projects and I have a couple that I've added to my to do list! There is an extremely detailed introduction going through the different materials and tools. CraftingCon – Princess Headbands and a Giveaway!

CraftingCon is the brainchild of Friends Stitched Together and Mae&K, it's a monthly sewing competition. Each month has a different theme and there are competitors who are sewing projects based on the theme. This month is Disney Princesses. This past weekend, Jen from 52 lasers did the Craftstraganza show in St. Paul, MN. It looks like an extremely fun show! Since this was the first time she was selling her needle minders, I had the idea to make a hoop to display them. I was going to get fancy with colors but decided to keep it simple so it didn't distract from the needle minders. I used a gray for the font (which I matched to the same font as her Isette branding) and then a lighter gray for the design under the text. I made the design loosely based on a necklace of hers.
