Free Pattern Friday – Geometric Arrows

I went through a big geometric cross stitch kit a few years back. Most of them I would do without a pattern and I loved how little I had to think about it, it was so repetitive. I have a box with dozens of them. The finished cross stitch is only about 3" x 5" but you could continue repeating to make it as big as you want. Whenever I do rainbow for my cross stitches I just grab any colors I have in that shade. Usually I'm lazy and pick whatever is already cut and split into three strands! I am relatively new to the coffee drinking scene. Somehow I managed to survive the first three years of Evie's life without coffee. But now things are different, it didn't take long for me to become a "don't talk to me before I've had my coffee" person. My Tea Love cross stitch pattern is consistently my most popular, so I figured I would expand the caffeine love to coffee. I had an idea awhile back to make a series of tiny cross stitch patterns. My initial thought was that they could go on a hexagon, but they're so tiny you could stitch them on almost anything. I got an email from someone asking me about making a miniature pinscher pattern to go with my cat embroidery pattern. Fall is by far my favorite season. While I don't have the same obsession many do, I do enjoy pumpkin flavored things and the occasional pumpkin spice latte. And who doesn't love a good coffee related craft? So now you can make your own pumpkin spice latte cross stitch. Free Pattern Friday – Bethlehem Star Quilt Block

I've always loved the look of this block and have seen it called both a Bethlehem Star and the Swoon block. It's on my list of quilt blocks I want to make, but until I finally do it, I'll have to settle for this cross stitch pattern version. Last summer I did a post for the &Stitches Summer Bloggin' series on stitching with LEDs. I stitched up Saturn and used the LEDs for stars. I was going through some old files this week and came across the pattern and realized I never shared it. I'm not 100% sure what colors I used but I think it might have been some of these - DMC 840 DMC 841 DMC 842 DMC 648 DMC 729 I'm not always the best at remembering to keep track, sorry!
