I have a new pattern in the newest issue of One Thimble magazine* – a treasure map embroidery. I previously worked with Jen last year for issue 8, when I made a cactus hexie wall art pattern Jen does such a great job putting together a great selections of patterns, articles, and tutorials. This issue was a really fun one and I loved creating the embroidery pattern for it.
The pattern is a combination of stem stitch and back stitch, but the whole thing can be done with back stitch if you aren’t comfortable with stem stitch. I only recently learned how to do stem stitch, I found it to be a little tricky to figure out. Once I got it though, it quickly became one of my favorite stitches so I definitely think it’s worth learning!
Sew Darn Ezy Handmade Craft Store embroidered my pattern at 200% and added bias tape to the top and bottom on the back to insert sticks for hanging.
She sewed up a bunch of the patterns from the magazine and did an amazing job with all of them, the pictures are incredible!
I created mine to just be a toy but it also can be made into a wall hanging or pillow.
I love the Adventure Case* and Pretend Play Adventure Kit* as a whole play set. And I love the Adventure Flags* that Stephanie created.
I am so excited to have my pattern included with so many other amazing ones, it’s a really great issue. You can get your copy of issue 10 of One Thimble here.*
