While it felt weird for Mira to turn one, it feels absolutely insane that my baby girl Evie is FOUR! Four years ago I became a mom and it was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.

Looking back at pictures, I can’t believe she was ever that tiny! Sometimes I get sad about how grown up she is now, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. She has such an amazing personality and is so much fun to be around! I’m constantly amazed by her sense of humor and her intelligence, she always keeps me laughing.

I am so proud every day of the amazing person that Evie is growing into. She is so caring and brave and smart. Her whole life she has been afraid of most animals, but this summer she has started facing her fears. It is amazing to see her growing and learning, and I nearly cried when she told me she wanted to pet a dog.

Last night when she was going to bed I asked her if she would stay three and not turn four tomorrow. She said “But mama, I’ve never been four before!” She’s right, and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
