I’ve been busily working on making Christmas gifts and unfortunately I can’t show them off until after Christmas. But I did make some gifts that have already been given to their recipients. This is the first year I’ve sewn so many gifts and I love how fast it is compared to cross stitching!
A few weeks ago some friends were in town and stopped by for a visit. I knew they were going to be doing a lot of driving so I wanted to put together some little gifts for them to take along.
I used this mini composition book pattern from Angela Bowman and this crayon roll pattern from Two Little Monkies.
I also got some washi tape and stickers, my girls are obsessed with both and they’re pretty for even Mira to play with at 2. I made a simple drawstring bag to put them in, another thing my girls are obsessed with. They love packing up a bag of stuff to take with places.
I originally got the pattern for the composition book cover with the intention of making the large version as a Christmas gift and then I changed my plans. But I’m glad I had the pattern because the mini one was really easy and cute. I used fold over elastic from Bowtique Emilee, it’s cheaper than elastic from a craft store and comes in tons of colors.
I’m finishing up my last Christmas gift and then I’ve already started planning my first TSNEM project for 2016. Starting next week I’ll show off everything I’ve made for Christmas gifts, but you can see glimpses of it all if you follow me on Instagram.
And make sure you’ve liked the Hugs are Fun Facebook page, there’s a Boxing Day Sale coming up that you won’t want to miss!
