CraftingCon is the brainchild of Friends Stitched Together and Mae&K, it’s a monthly sewing competition. Each month has a different theme and there are competitors who are sewing projects based on the theme. This month is Disney Princesses. I absolutely love this idea but unfortunately my sewing skills are not strong enough to create something of the caliber that people have been making. Seriously, check out this adorable summer Snow White dress from That’s Sew Kari!
This is Emilee, the namesake of Bowtique Emilee, modeling the Pocahontas headband.
But I do have a friend that has a company that sells headband supplies and I had an idea to create headbands to coordinate with the Disney Princesses. I had hoped to have all of the princesses represented, but due to illnesses and general busyness all around, this is going to be a two part series.
I love the simplicity of the Snow White bow.
Bowtique Emilee has a huge range of flowers and elastic for making high quality headbands. There are so many different options and I had a really fun time coming up with the color combinations for each princess.
Rapunzel has a lavender lace headband and a grape lace flower.
Elsa or Cinderella could wear the headband with the silver elastic band with an aqua shabby flower, turquoise satin rose, and a mini white satin rose.
Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) has a printed pink princess elastic band and a hot pink shiny shabby flower and a light pink shabby flower.
Belle has a yellow and white chevron elastic band with a white shabby flower and a yellow shabby flower and a yellow butterfly sequin bow.
Snow White has a simple bow made of red elastic.
Pocahontas has a gold elastic band with a brown satin rose, a tan shabby flower, and turquoise satin rose.
Now here’s the most exciting part, three of you lucky readers will win the supplies to make your own princess headband, and it’s open to international readers! You get to choose whichever is your favorite!
