Whimseybox is a craft subscription box, but they also sell a huge variety of craft supplies. I received a box to review and was really excited to see what the project was. This month’s kit was to make a lemon honey lotion and sugar scrub.
Everything was extremely well designed and packaged beautifully. Opening the box was truly like opening a present, there was even a ribbon holding it all together. The instructions were extremely well written and accompanied by easy to follow photos of every step of the process. The instructions are also available online along with a breakdown of all of the ingredients in the lotion and sugar scrub and their benefits. Whimseybox has done an incredible job really thinking things through so there is as little waste as possible. The instruction booklet also has a beautiful print of macaroons on the front that could be framed and displayed (I’m thinking it might be going up in my kitchen!) and they even provide a label for the box to be used to store craft supplies.
There were a few other great touches to the kit, there was a merit badge for learning a new skill. It’s such a fun little idea that makes me want to get more kits so I can start a collection of these buttons.
I also love that they included labels that you can personalize with your name. Another small touch that makes a big difference in making the kit extra special.
I’ve made sugar scrub before but never lotion. It was so easy and a lot of fun, it’s so great to have everything you need all laid out for you. I didn’t have to worry about not having something I needed, all I had to do was provide a spoon and some hot water to melt the ingredients together.
I was really impressed with Whimseybox and it’s a great way to try out new crafts you might not normally do. If you use the coupon code NEW5 you can save $5 on your first month’s box. Sign up here.
