I always love seeing the ORT jar growing, it tells a story of all the stitching I’ve been doing.
There’s a lot of thread from two cross stitch projects that I can’t show off until they make their way to their new homes. One is headed to the UK for the &stitches swap and the other is going to a friend in Canada.
There’s also a lot of threads from basting hexagons. I have a pouch that I keep all my hexagon supplies in and I leave all my ORTs in there. It’s a satisfying feeling to pull out a big tangle of thread and add it to the jar.
I like that this jar is a measure for how much I’ve been creating, but I also just think it looks pretty too!

Yes there’s definitely a lot of satisfaction to be had from these pretty scraps. I certainly enjoy mine 🙂

I eventually plan on doing something with them, I’m just not sure what. Until then, I really enjoy the colorful jar!
