The amazing ladies at &stitches did a Secret Santa swap and I had the pleasure to make something for Nicole from Follow the White Bunny. I was really excited about the exchange but also very nervous because I didn't want to send a disappointing package! I knew I wanted to do something with cross stitching (it is a stitching blog after all!) but I also wanted to make something more than just a hoop to hang up. I wanted to show off a little gift set I put together using CraftyPod's FlowerPOW mug rug pattern! I've discussed my love for these mug rugs in the past, which is evident by the fact that I've made 6 so far... I put together a little gift set with a coffee cozy that I made using the same fabrics as the mug rug. I used this great free tutorial from Skip to My Lou. Flower POW Mug Rug Completed!

Diane from CraftyPod is directly responsible for my English paper piecing hexagon obsession. So when she recently release some EPP patterns using other shapes, I had to try them out! I bought this Flower POW Mug Rug pattern and while I've only finished one so far, I have four others in progress. I can't stop making them, they are so fun!
