I was sent the Oriental Chic collection and my first idea to make origami paper cranes was a bust. The card stock was to thick to easily be able to use for origami. So I decided this was a good time to pull out my new Silhouette Cameo!

I remembered a post from Jesse at Art School Dropout where she made a paper planter. I bought the same file she used and assembled it and used twine to hang it.

I really love how the gorgeous patterned paper looks for this. I hung some of the cardboard stickers and the wooden embellishments that came with it. The twine is perfect for hanging it.

You can purchase the cutting file for the Silhouette here, or you can cut it out by hand using this file here.

WOW – these are FABULOUS Rebecca!!!
A perfect balance of papers, folding & twine to make CRAFTY AWESOMENESS – LOVE them and look forward to making some too, I’ve made circle punch ornaments before and these would make a fun modern twist!!!
THANK YOU for sharing your CREATIVE INSPIRATION and for the links too, I don’t have a die cutting machine, so I really appreciate the link to the printable of the truncated octahedron 🙂
