Last night Josh and I went and saw Hugh Laurie in Chicago. He was fantastic live and the musicians in the Copper Bottom Band were incredible.
I haven’t actually completed any projects in the past few days, so here is my current list of things I’m working on (and a few things I plan on starting soon!) First up is my iPhone case, I’m really excited about this one.
Josh got me one years ago and I could never decide what I wanted to stitch so I didn’t ever do it, and now it won’t fit on my current phone. I was determined to avoid doing that again so I made a decision right away and got to work. I haven’t done as many geometric cross stitches lately, so I’ve been enjoying this one.
Next is Evie’s never ending blanket. I haven’t worked on it much lately, I really just need to finish it.
I only need 6 more squares, I’m so close to the end. I want to finish it so I can start a new one, preferably a pattern that doesn’t involve joining blocks.
The deadline for the &stitches contest was extended so I have time to finish my final flash card. While the extra time is great, it means I just want to work on anything besides this. I will definitely get it done, this one is my favorite of the three. And I started making a list of all the letters of the alphabet and possible words for the whole set.
I started this months ago and haven’t wanted to work on it. I was getting impatient and just did a small waste canvas test, I’m nervous that the stitches won’t be very clean on this which is why I’ve been putting it off.
And this Curious George was intended for Evie but between the first Curious George I did and what I’ve done on this, it was just too much brown. I got over ambitious, this was made to fit in an 8×10″ frame.
Oh, and we can’t forget about the Christmas stitchalong I signed up for and haven’t started.
These are all pictures of things I plan on starting but haven’t gotten around to it…
Hopefully I can finish up some of these to show off next week. And I’ve also been working on a secret project that I can’t wait to show off!

Where did you get the cross-stitchable phone case, and does it protect your phone well? I just bought one but it’s really flimsy rubber and I’m sure my phone would break immediately. I need something more durable and yours looks like it might be *slightly* better.
Love the pattern too!!

I got my case from Purl Soho. It was much more expensive than the other ones I’ve seen but it is pretty stiff. I do wish I had gotten a darker color though, the yellow has gotten dirty on the edges.

Thanks for the lightning-fast response! I’ll look into getting one of these. Hopefully it works out!
