One of my 2016 goals was to release one paid pattern a month. That hasn't been going exactly as planned since it's already March, but better late than never! My solar system patterns are consistently my most popular - both the rectangle version and circle version. I wanted to make more science cross stitch patterns and so I stitched up this cross section of the earth's core. I love how it turned out and hopefully you do too! You can get your own version over in my Etsy shop! There are more free patterns to download here. If you stitch up one of my ... Read More
Free Cross Stitch Patterns – Tsum Tsum
Last year I made a whole bunch of Tsum Tsum cross stitch patterns for a swap. I've been meaning to release the patterns for awhile and this week I got a message giving me the push to finally do it. (Please note: Affiliate links are indicated by an asterisk*) The finished Tsum Tsum is 2 'x 2.5" when stitched on 14 ct Aida. I used the DMC Water Soluble Cross Stitch Canvas* so I could stitch it on quilting cotton. &Stitches Secret Santa Exchange with Free EPP Pattern
Among all the Christmas craziness I realized I never posted about the &stitches secret Santa exchange I did! Please note, this post contains affiliate links as indicated by an asterisk.* My partner was Aimee from Daisy Eyes and I embraced a tea theme for her package and included a reusable mug and sleeve, octopus tea infuser*, and a mug rug. My tea cup cross stitch pattern is consistently my most visited post and I wanted to play around with it a bit. I made the pattern into an EPP pattern and made a mug rug for it. I know it probably would have lent itself really ... Read More
Project Starters Anonymous – Free Pattern
Kristy from Simply this Life started Project Starters Anonymous as a hashtag on Instagram and I absolutely love it. I enthusiastically joined along because I am the worst about starting new projects before finishing others (need proof? Check out my current UFO list...) Some people have started joining in and this is my official invitation for you to join Project Starters Anonymous. Post on Instagram with the hashtag #projectstartersanonymous when you start something new. And I've also put together a few embroidery patterns that you can stitch (because I assume ... Read More
Free Pattern Friday – Miniature Pinscher Embroidery Pattern
I got an email from someone asking me about making a miniature pinscher pattern to go with my cat embroidery pattern. She had stitched up the cat (check it out, it's super cute!) and wanted to make another for her miniature pinscher. I haven't stitched it up yet but I think it turned out pretty cute! I don't do embroidery patterns very often but they are fun! Super Easy Handmade Costumes
Please Note: This post contains affiliate links that are indicated by an asterisk*. My children are extremely indecisive about Halloween costumes. They both cycled through a ton of costume options before finally settling on them. Mira wanted to be a Care Bear and Evie wanted to be Link. I immediately knew how I was going to do the Care Bear costume, I got a plain pink hoodie and made a felt circle to attach to it. I couldn't find a hoodie that didn't have a zipper, so I got it a couple sizes too big so I could more easily slip it over her head. I also anticipate ... Read More

You could easily add some text onto the lines, or leave it as is! Free Embroidery Pattern – Create
I saw mention online of World Embroidery Day and decided it would be a good occasion to make an embroidery pattern! I've made plenty of cross stitch patterns, but not many embroidery ones. I kind of regret my color/fabric choices, there isn't great contrast. I even doubted myself early on and debated restarting it in a darker color but I was lazy and convinced myself it was fine. Apparently I should have listened to my gut instinct. I was using Sulky Solvy Water Soluble Stabilizer* so I couldn't actually see it until I washed away the stabilizer. Download ... Read More
