We are part of a group that does toddler craft exchanges (see what I have made for past exchanges here and here). This month has been so crazy and the exchange totally snuck up on me so I had to pick something easy.
I based this bird off the Pigeon craft we did for Evie’s party, but added a little extra to the project like feathers and legs!
I cut the pipe cleaner in half for shorter legs, but we also made one with full sized pipe cleaners which makes for a very silly looking bird if you’d like that! Put the pipe cleaner in the hole and pinch it to secure. Then bend the end to make the foot.
Cut out a head and beak to attach to the plate. You can add anything you want, feathers, eyeballs, glitter, whatever! Evie didn’t feel that two eyeballs were enough, her bird needed three. Just have fun and make him your own!
If you haven’t seen the guest post I did over at My Craftily Ever After, head over and see how to make a fun Valentine’s Day Dreamcatcher!
Hope you enjoy this little bird! Evie’s favorite thing is using glue, so this craft was perfect for her, especially combined with feathers! What’s your toddler’s favorite craft supply to use?
