I signed up for the December Phat Quarter swap despite being completely swamped with Christmas crafting. And in typical fashion, I signed up without any ideas at all of what I would do. I mentioned that this year I put Evie to work making Christmas gifts. One of the things she made was a Sharpie mug, which I've seen floating around Pinterest for months now. There are so many different tutorials, but they are all pretty standard, here's a good one from Somewhat Simple. A Beautiful Mess has a cute version too. I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. Now that I've given all my gifts, I can finally start showing these off! I started making Christmas gifts back in November, so it's been a long time for me to keep these secret! I also had Evie making presents, so I'll show those off too! I hope you all have an amazing Christmas! This is our first Christmas as a family of four, and I couldn't be happier! Evie is at such a fun age and is so excited about everything, it just makes Christmas so much more exciting for me seeing her reaction to everything. We've all been battling illness the past few weeks, but we have managed to do a lot of fun Christmas stuff. I've been thinking about goals for 2014 for awhile now, and Nicole from Mercantile 519 made a post of hers, so I decided to make mine public too. Acquire all 454 DMC thread colors I mentioned this goal in a recent blog post. I'm currently cataloging all of the colors I have so I can get the colors I'm missing. Do at least one craft show and one art show I did a craft show last year, that's actually what gave me the push to get my Etsy shop going and get my site up. Michaels – Create Squares, Warm Lives

I was heading back to the embroidery floss area in my local Michaels when this sign caught my eye. There is a bin with 7 inch x 9 inch rectangles that people have made for Warm Up America.Next week after Christmas is over, I plan on grabbing some yarn and getting to work making some squares. Last year I got The Knitting Book and I've pinned a ton of different crochet stitches I've wanted to play around with.
