Twinery and Ruby Rock-It Blog Hop!

Today is the last day of the Twinery and Ruby Rock-It blog hop! You should have gotten here from Denise Hahn If you're new, I would love for you to like my Facebook page and follow on Bloglovin'! I was sent the Oriental Chic collection and my first idea to make origami paper cranes was a bust. The card stock was to thick to easily be able to use for origami. So I decided this was a good time to pull out my new Silhouette Cameo! I remembered a post from Jesse at Art School Dropout where she made a paper planter. I bought the same file she used and ... Creativity Expressed

When I started this blog it was meant as a place to showcase my cross stitches, but over the last year and a half it's really evolved. I feel like my tagline "modern cross stitcheries" has become out of date because I have been doing so much more. I have been doing a lot of embroidery and this year I started my enormous, ongoing English paper pieced hexagon quilt. Jen from Lovely Messes asked me to take part in her Creativity Expressed blog series and talk about my hexagons. It's been an interesting process for me. I have always wanted to make a quilt but I don't ... Read More

It's time for another blog hop, this time with the Twinery and Serendipity Stamps! It's the first day of the hop and you should have made your way here from Happy Paper Craft Happenings, so welcome! Hexagon Cuff Bracelet – 12 Hexies Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the next stop on the 12 hexies (or less) blog hop. I was so excited when Diane from CraftyPod told me the idea for this blog hop. I have been working on an EPP quilt since the beginning of the year and it is a very, very labor intensive project. So the idea of smaller, more manageable projects is extremely appealing, I put together this cuff in a few hours. What you'll need: .5" hexagons Scraps of fabric Felt strip 1.5" wide Button Thin elastic Fabric glue Needle and thread Embroidery floss Assemble some hexagons with your paper ... Read More

Plastic Canvas Blog Hop – Baby Blocks

I am really excited to take part in this plastic canvas blog hop. I love seeing all the different things people are doing with it, it's such a fun material! I haven't ever used it before, and I'm realizing how many options there are for plastic canvas! I made these baby blocks and stuffed them with polyfill and put bells inside so they rattle. They stitch up really quickly and can be customized with any colors. I've included a PDF to download with all of the different patterns I used. Each block has two solid sides and four patterned sides. I used 7ct plastic ... Read More
