I have two big mason jars full of embroidery thread, this is the one from last year and I'm keeping one this year as well. I was doing monthly posts about my ORT jars but that kind of fell by the wayside, though I am still filling mine up. I've been wanting to do something with the threads so I've been keeping these jars around. I got some fillable plastic ornaments from Michael's. Book Review – Present Perfect

I first found out about Betz White from the While She Naps podcast and I began following her blog and her work is amazing. She is so incredibly multitalented and her new book Present Perfect does a great job displaying all her different skills into a series of projects. The projects in Present Perfect 25 Gifts to Sew & Bestow are a bit more complicated so Betz White suggests starting off as a "confident beginner." I wanted to show off a little gift set I put together using CraftyPod's FlowerPOW mug rug pattern! I've discussed my love for these mug rugs in the past, which is evident by the fact that I've made 6 so far... I put together a little gift set with a coffee cozy that I made using the same fabrics as the mug rug. I used this great free tutorial from Skip to My Lou. Another Trip to Renegade!

On Saturday we went to the Chicago Renegade December Market, I think this was the fourth year we've gone. This year there was a venue change to the Bridgeport Art Center, I was not a fan. The building is gorgeous and I'm sure it's great for other events, but Renegade has such huge crowd that it was just too much for the building. The vendors were all on the 5th floor and you had to take an elevator to get up there, so we had to wait outside in the cold for the elevator to take groups up. Silhouette Pom Pom Christmas Tree

There's a few more days to take advantage of the big Silhouette Black Friday sale. I picked up a bunch of supplies and I'm really excited to play around with them! One of the supplies that Silhouette sent me to try out was the double-sided adhesive and I knew I wanted to use it for a Christmas craft with Evie. I used the Christmas tree cutting file that is already in the Silhouette Studio software. It had an inner outline that I ungrouped and deleted so that it was just a solid shape.
