February TSNEM – Sashiko Embroidery

This month for TSNEM I tackled something I've been wanting to do for a year (almost exactly, I posted about it February 4 of last year!), sashiko. My mother-in-law got me a few of the sashiko kits and a couple colors of thread. I bought some more colors from TaDaa Studio Stitch on Etsy and decided to make a bit of a rainbow. Book Review – Stitch Love

I have been eagerly awaiting Stitch Love from Mollie Johanson since I first heard about it months ago! Mollie is the amazingly talented lady behind Wild Olive and someone I am pleased to call my friend. Gifts I Made – Embroidered Felt Mandalas

Several people received these embroidered felt mandalas for Christmas this year, made with this tutorial from Wendi at Shiny Happy World. For the larger one I used this Sulky 12 wt. cotton "Petites" thread and I really enjoyed working with it. Combine that with Benzie wool blend felt and it was really great to stitch with! What I’ve Been Up To – Craft Fair Edition

I've still been plugging away at making Christmas gifts, but I've been taking some breaks to make some new products for a craft fair. December 7 I will have a booth at the Nido Winter Market in Aurora Illinois. Originally I didn't plan on making anything new, I have a ton of cross stitches and a handful of cross stitch pendants. Evie's best friend Amelia is moving to Seattle today. They have been friends practically since birth and seeing them play together is the sweetest. A Floral Felt Scissor Holder

I got these absolutely ADORABLE bear scissors from the Missouri Quilt Co, I was placing an order and couldn't resist getting a few pairs. The only problem was they didn't have any sort of case. So when I saw this tutorial from Feeling Stitchy on making a felt scissor case, I set to work. I freehanded the embroidery, I didn't draw anything onto the felt before I began.
