In case you haven't picked up on it yet, I love Nikola Tesla. In fact, Evie's middle name is Tesla. I really want her to know more about the remarkable man who we named her after, and "Electrical Wizard: How Nikola Tesla Lit Up the World" is a great way to start teaching her and I was thrilled to get a chance to review it. A Raccoon Button!

I made another button! I'm still not sure what my plan for these is, but I was playing around with some graph paper the other day and drew this guy. It was slightly too big for the buttons I got for the flower I made, so I got the next size up. I also picked up a pack of smaller ones. They Might Be Cross Stitch

I got an email from They Might Be Giants last week and my first thought was "I could cross stitch that!." It seemed so nice of them to send me a pattern so I got to work. Josh and I are both big They Might Be Giants fans, so big in fact that we have been members of their Instant Fan Club for the past two years. Free Pattern Friday – Tea Love

It's that time again, Free Pattern Friday! I made this pattern a few months ago and have been meaning to post it. I normally design my patterns in Photoshop, but this one I drew out on graph paper. I was in the mood to do a quick, cute, little cross stitch and this fit the bill. It's about 2.25" and fits nicely into a 4" hoop. So I keep mentioning my desire to make a quilt. I've never made one before but I am obsessed with looking at quilts on Pinterest and Instagram, and I got Quilting Happiness for my birthday and I'm currently reading a review copy of Modern One-Block Quilts.
