Diane from CraftyPod is directly responsible for my English paper piecing hexagon obsession. So when she recently release some EPP patterns using other shapes, I had to try them out! I bought this Flower POW Mug Rug pattern and while I've only finished one so far, I have four others in progress. I can't stop making them, they are so fun! Evie's best friend Amelia is moving to Seattle today. They have been friends practically since birth and seeing them play together is the sweetest. A Floral Felt Scissor Holder

I got these absolutely ADORABLE bear scissors from the Missouri Quilt Co, I was placing an order and couldn't resist getting a few pairs. The only problem was they didn't have any sort of case. So when I saw this tutorial from Feeling Stitchy on making a felt scissor case, I set to work. I freehanded the embroidery, I didn't draw anything onto the felt before I began. Instagram is a dangerous place for me, I just can't help but sign up for these swaps I see there! I keep saying I'm done with them and then I see another that I just can't resist! This most recent one was organized by Paige from Artsy Anthropology as a fundraiser for three families who are adopting. One of the families was a woman I follow on Instagram, LeftyLex. CraftingCon is the brainchild of Friends Stitched Together and Mae&K, it's a monthly sewing competition.
