I've been meaning to show off these bows for a couple weeks now, and then I made these hair ties. I've been finishing up some secret projects I'm not ready to show off, so this seemed like a perfect chance to show it all of it off. ... Read More
Old Projects – Pig Cross Stitch
I made this a few years ago for my parents as a Christmas gift. They have an enormous pig collection so I drew this guy and made it into a pattern. I've been wanting to make more cross stitches of my drawings, seeing this guy might be the push towards doing that. ... Read More
Toddler Activities – Turkey Puppet
I'm doing another craft exchange and everyone seemed to be doing fall themed crafts this time so I came up with this guy. The frog puppet we made at the Culture Stock story time went over really well, especially on Pinterest. Evie really likes making puppets and I think the turkey worked out well with the bag. ... Phat Quarter Swap – Five
I participated in my second Phat Quarter swap, this time the theme was "five." I did the science swap back in May, and I was excited to do another. I signed up right away but had absolutely no idea what to do so I kept putting off working on it. The deadline was getting closer and closer so I finally made a decision to do five separate pieces. Retro TV Cross Stitch
The retro tv was part of the first series of cross stitches I ever did. I found the pattern again awhile back and decided to whip up a new one. I always get a nostalgic feeling working on one of my older patterns, especially after doing more abstract, geometric ones for awhile. Old Projects – Cupcake Cross Stitches

Blanket Check-In – Week 3
This week I have been doing a lot of borders. I also realized I was going to need a lot more of the off white than I had and ended up going to three Hobby Lobby stores in the area. The first two seemed to have a completely new batch of yarn that felt completely different and didn't match at all. The third store actually had two skeins of the same dye lot, and a bunch of skeins of the next numbered dye lot. I think I'll only need the two, but I grabbed a third just in case. I was starting to panic about the non-matching yarn and the idea of having to redo all of those ... Read More
Mason Jar Cross Stitch Pincushion
I've seen these mason jar pincushions around and wanted to make a cross stitched one. My first try using Aida cross stitch fabric was too thick and the lid couldn't screw on. So I took a pass using waste canvas on a piece of regular fabric and it worked great. ... Read More
