Plastic Canvas Blog Hop – Baby Blocks

I am really excited to take part in this plastic canvas blog hop. I love seeing all the different things people are doing with it, it's such a fun material! I haven't ever used it before, and I'm realizing how many options there are for plastic canvas! I made these baby blocks and stuffed them with polyfill and put bells inside so they rattle. Package Pals

I participated in the Package Pals swap over at C.R.A.F.T. The idea was to send a package of craft supplies to your partner, and you would get one in return. Free Bunny Pattern – Felt Embroidery Hoop

I'm not sure if you know this, but I went to school for illustration. I don't draw as much as I'd like, but it was on my list of 2014 goals to do it more. I love working with felt, and this felt wool from Benzie Design is so wonderful to stitch on! Hexagon Headband

Since I obviously needed yet another hexagon project, I whipped up this little headband. I really, really love the mini hexie necklace that Haley at The Zen of Making posted so I wanted to try out using smaller hexagons. She used 1/4", I didn't go quite that small. These are made with 1/2" hexagons. Evie's favorite color changes whenever I asked, but the day I worked on this she decided it was green. I made five hexagons and whip stitched them together. I was pleasantly surprised by the positive reactions to my doodle embroidery I posted. People seemed to really love the idea and a few people on Instagram mentioned having their own doodle stitching project! So I am starting my first stitch along and link up. Alcohol Inked Cross Stitching!

I posted on last week's WIP Wednesday post that I had done more with the alcohol ink from the Darby Smart coaster kit. After the acrylic had ink on it, Jen sealed them (you can read more about the saga it took to get this right) and she put the colorful acrylic under the laser. I am smitten with the way these turned out and I can't wait to stitch them all up. I love the uniqueness of each of them, they are all one of a kind. Doodle Embroidery

Someone needs to save me from myself. Just yesterday I posted about all my current projects, then what do I do? Last night I started yet another one! I saw this pillow at IKEA and immediately thought it looked like a coloring book and I wanted to stitch on it. This is going to take awhile, but I find it very relaxing. I'm not obsessing over colors or perfection, I'm just filling it in with various stitches. So far I've done back stitch, split stitch, French knots, scallop stitch, and satin stitch. I'm working on a lot of different projects right now and I can't wait to finish them up. In the world of hexagons, I am working on the Wild Olive spring stitching club. I have last week and this week's to do still and I'm a little behind on the hexagons. But I love the colors and the patterns that Mollie has sent out so far!
